Welcome to the Banana Store
Formerly The Old Borough Market Trustees Building (circa 1897), the basement was used as a banana store where the unripened bananas from the West Indies were stored after unloading from the nearby port.
Situated between the world famous Borough Market and Southwark Cathedral in London's fast developing Bankside area, the Banana Store offers first class food from first class ingredients, an excellent wine list combined with a friendly atmosphere.
Why not pop in for Lunch (12 noon - 3.00pm) or book a table for Dinner (6.30pm - 9.00pm) with exciting menus that change fortnightly there's plenty to tempt your taste buds and with Borough Market next door you can be sure of the freshest ingredients cooked by some of London's best "still to be discovered chefs".
We can also come up with a menu to suit your own requirements.
But if you just want to have a have a drink then the well stocked bar offers plenty of choice including one of London's only sources of perfectly presented draft Leffe Beer.
You can even hire the Store for private functions and special events with enough space for up to 80 people standing or 35 at tables.
But don't take our word for it, the Banana Store has been featured in the Sunday Times, FT and the Guardian newspapers
10 minute walk from London Bridge Station, why not come and visit us.
